IMA to honour ‘oldest practising and non-practising doctors’ in India

New Delhi: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) on Saturday said it will honour Dr J S Rastogi, aged 99, from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh and Dr Prakash, aged 103 years, from Jor Bagh in New Delhi — the “oldest practising and non-practising doctors” respectively in the country — during the installation of Team IMA-CGP for the year 2016-17 on Sunday.

At the event, Dr V K Monga will take over as Dean, IMA CGP (Indian Medical Association — College of General Practitioners). A CME (continuing medical education) will also be organised on point of care diagnostics in general practice. A panel discussion will also be organised on problems faced by the general practitioners, according to a statement.
